Hunting Pumpkins at Paragoohna (no I didn't spell it right - thanks for noticing) We had a blast. It was late in the season, Like the 18th or so and there weren't many large pumpkins left, but plenty of little ones to buy so we can load them up on the catapult tomorrow and give them a "lift". (I'll be letting Mom Hall class pumpkin Chunkin on Monday - 3rd graders, pumpkins, and a catapult....what could possibly go wrong...?)
Yes Katie went to school like this. She is enjoying 6th grade. She volunteers at the HES library, I'm not sure if its because she is just helpful, or if she misses her elementary... (maybe she just likes bossing the little kids... just kidding - don't tell her I said that)
We went for a hike. (Not sure how Matt got he time off - it was a Saturday, but you know how that goes...) Kids had a great time. It started out with an ice cream and got better from there. We had to turn Sammi's shirt around for the pic - it had chocolate ice cream all down it.
Sept. 2011 the kids get invited up to a book/reading festival at the UofU. Asked for an RSVP, said that they were among the best readers in the state. Could they come and participate in the opening Ceremonies. Some of Katie's favorite authors were going to be there, but our van was broken - we couldn't go...unless we borrowed a car...and found a babysitter for the 2 littlest ones...and went up and back in one day. Meeting the authors was worth the drive, but he paper crowns that were the opening ceremony really wasn't... not even for the stormtroopers.
